Anthony Kiedis, Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman, has spoken about his newly born child.  We covered the initial announcement of Everly’s birth over a week ago.

We know now his full name to be Everly Bear Kiedis.  Here’s some more straight from Anthony’s mouth:

We had a long list of names, but suppose it came to me by way of the Everly Brothers, which is one of my favorite bands. And sometimes last names make good first names.

The mama came up with Bear. That made sense to me because he’s from me and I feel like I’m part of the bear clan, and I think it’s nice to have a little bit of earth in your name.

Being a father is different, it’s much different. I sleep when I can, but he’s letting me off pretty easy so far. He’s a very calm and peaceful kid.

Long gone are Mary, Margaret, John and James – favorite baby names of New Yorkers having kids in 1898. Madison and Mia, along with Jayden and Justin, are more the style of today’s New York City parent. These names ranked among the top 10 most popular baby names of 2006, according to the list released today by the Health Department. Longtime favorites Ashley and Michael took the number-one spots among the 125,506 babies born here last year.

Top 10 boy names in New York (2006): Michael, Daniel, Matthew, Joshua, Justin, David, Christopher, Joseph, Anthony, Jayden

Top 10 girl names in New York (2006): Ashley, Emily, Isabella, Sarah, Kayla, Sophia, Mia, Madison, Brianna, Samantha

Michael reigned as king of boys’ names, as he has since 1980. Matthew bumped David out of the top five this year and newcomer Jayden claimed the 10th spot, leaving Nicholas off the list. For girls, Ashley nudged out Emily for number one, reclaiming the position she’d held from 1992-2002. Newcomers Mia and Madison entered the top 10, and Olivia and Rachel lost their slots.

Breaking it down into ethnic groups, Michael and Sarah were the top White names, Joshua and Kayla the top Black names, Ashley and Angel the top Hispanic names and Emily and Ryan the top Asia/Pacific names. The Hispanic names are interesting, as they are both unisex name (in this case, Ashley is the girl).

There were numerous geographical names that cropped up, including London, Milan, Egypt and Kenya. There were even ten girls named Trany!

P Diddy, real name Sean Combs, has just admitted that he is father to a 15-month old baby girl.

Following DNA tests, the hip hop legend has acknowledged his new responsibility to the child, whos other parent is Sarah Chapman.

The music superstar’s newly acquired daughter is named Chance.

Diddy was unsure about coming forward due to doubts over the kid’s true parernity. He already fathers twins with Kim Porter, and acts as a father for her son Quincy.

Anthony Kiedis, frontman of popular rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, has just welcomed the arrival of his first child - a boy.

Kiedis, along with his model wife partner Heather Christe, started his foray into parenthood in an LA hotel yesterday. The name has been announced:

Everly B

And yes, it does appear that the full middle name is in fact ‘B’. The forename Everly is pretty rare, and to find out it’s meaning you’ll have to click the link above! Please let me know your thoughts on the name below.
