She has opted to allow facebook users to have the privilege by voting for their favourite.
The little girls due date is December 4th and until then her name is completely in the hands of Facebook online votes. The reason why this is the case is because as her recent spot as a supply teacher, she looked through lists of children’s names, went through numerous baby name books but nothing really jumped out.
It actually came about after Rommy was talking about her problem with her friend from FabFind who worked in the sales department there. It is a Canadian social commerce site that offers discount deals on anything you can imagine.
“We went back to her and said, ‘Here’s what we’ll do: We will give you and your family a year’s worth of free deals if you let us help name your kid, and we’ll do it on Facebook,”‘ said FabFind CEO Bill Heilmann.
It moved from there. As of last Friday the poll had had over 700 votes and the top name was Aria followed by Melania and then Sophia took third place.
It will be interesting to see how the plays out. Would you let your baby’s name to get decided on facebook?
