The final word on bad baby names?

Add your comment  |  July 6, 2010  |  Filed under: General names  |  Written by: Luke

There have been numerous cases of parents naming their children strange things – off the top of my head, there’s “New Zealand”, “@”, “Metallica” and “Sparrow” – and I’m sure you’ve heard of worse.

In fact, just last week it emerged that a British man named his child “Meggie Maisie Lady Gaga”.

However, a new book by the late Russell Ash – Frou Frou, Frisby and Brick – seems to be the final word on bad baby names.

Unfortunate Baby Names - Frou Frou Frisby & Brick

I dread to imagine the bloody sweat and tears which went into unearthing all these ridiculous names.  A sample of the most comical:

  • Placenta Hightshoe
  • Hysteria Johnson
  • Smallpox Tommy
  • Womble Scoggins
  • Gush Treacle
  • Martin Felix Oddsocks McWeirdo El-Tooty Fruity Farto Hello Hippopotamus Bum (um, yep!)

I have it on good authority that the book is hilarious – worth a look, so click here and check it out on Amazon.
