Usher welcomes baby son Naviyd Ely

Not much more than a year after his first son was born, Usher Raymond V, Usher and wife Tameka Foster welcome their second baby boy, named Naviyd Ely.

The name Naviyd is very obscure.  A quick Google search for the name, excluding any results that mention Usher, Ely, or Raymond, results in only 9 results.  So the word was practically non-existant before the news broke about Usher’s new arrival.

Naviyd Ely weighed in at 2.6 kilos when he was born on December 10th 2008.  Mother and baby are apparently in good health.

I think it’s a great name, and shows some real creativity.  It’s much more difficult to create your own name than it is to grab random place names and Disney characters, or simply just random words.
