About FathimaGo back to names list
Fathima is a variation of Fatima. Fatima is a feminine name of different origins. It can be found as an Arabic name meaning ‘Chaste’, or ‘Caring’ and is the name of a daughter of the prophet Muhammad. It is also found used in Christianity where ‘our Lady of Fatima’ is sometimes used to refer to the Virgin Mary. This adds to claims that it means ‘chaste’, however Fatima was the only daughter of Muhammad to have children so it may be more likely to mean ‘Caring’.
