Go back to names list

Annie Wilkes (Kathy Bates) is the terrifying nurse/super fan/serial killer in the 1990 film, “Misery”, which is based off of the 1987 Stephen King novel of the same name. She kidnaps Paul Sheldon, her favourite romance author, after he breaks both of his legs in a car accident and takes him to her home to heal. What follows is a series of horrific scenes of torture as Paul tries to escape Annie’s clutches.
