Lucy Pargeter Reveals Baby Names!

“Emmerdale” star Lucy Pargeter has shared some exciting details about her twin girls with everyone!

Having given birth back in April, Lucy has kept mum about her twins until now. Her newborn daughters, whom she welcomed with her fiancé, Rudi Coleano, are called Missy Mabel and Betsey Maggie.

The couple conceived their twins through IVF after an 11-year struggle to get pregnant. They are already parents to Lola, 11, but have always wanted to expand their family.

Lucy delivered her daughters through an emergency C-section when she got to 37 weeks. “I wanted to watch the whole thing but they put a screen up when you’re having a C-section and it couldn’t be lowered quite enough for me to see. In some hospitals there are mirrors on the ceiling so you can see what’s going on, but that wasn’t the case in mine,” she told “OK!” magazine in an interview.

Rudi also revealed a scary moment when it seemed as if the twins weren’t breathing: “There was a moment when they weren’t breathing. They got handed over to the medical team straight away after they were born and they were manipulated to make sure their airways were clear. The process was probably only about 30 seconds to a minute but it felt like ten minutes! Thankfully everything was fine,” he said.

The happy couple have also planned to tell Lola how her sisters were conceived.

“Lola’s fully aware of it all so we want to be honest with the girls and let them know how special they are and how much they were wanted and how easily it could have been that they weren’t here,” Lucy said. “Having IVF was hard but we feel so lucky the girls have come along. I think it’s important to be honest about everything to do with how they got here.”

Many congratulations to the happy couple!
