About CharliGo back to names list
Charli is a modern spelling variation of the popular unisex name Charlie. The version spelled Charli could be pronounced slightly differently to the original, with more emphasis on the ‘LEE’ part of the name. Charlie came about as a pet form of both the masculine name Charles and the feminine name Charlotte. Both names are of French origin. Charlotte is in fact the feminine version of Charles and so does not stand alone with its own meaning. Charles is said to mean ‘Unbound Man’. Charli could therefore be used as a name for either a boy or a girl however, this spelling is more commonly thought to be feminine.
