Buster Keaton (1895-1966) was an American actor and director known best for his slapstick silent films. His most famous films include “Cops”, “Sherlock Jr.” and “Steamboat Bill Jr”. Aside from his trademark stoic, deadpann expression (earning him the nickname “The Great Stone Face”), he also made the pork pie hat famous, and it was featured in many of his film. The name Buster was originally a nickname meaning “a person who broke things”, from the word “bust”.
