About MinaGo back to names list
Mina is a feminine name which probably came about as a pet form for names ending in ‘-mina’ such as the German Wilhelmina. This means it could come from several origins. Bram Stoker used it as a short form of Wilhelmina in his horror ‘Dracula’. Alternatively it could be a variant of the name Meena which is Arabic and is said to mean ‘Fish’. The name Mina is found used in several languages.
