Maria Fowler Welcomes Baby Girl After Complicated Birth

Ex-TOWIE star Maria Fowler, 30, gave birth this weekend after a “complicated” pregnancy. Her partner Kelvin Batey, 35, announced the news and announced the news on Twitter: “Finally got my girls home after a complicated birth. So proud of the both of them and thankful things are ok now. Evie Paris Batey 25/9/16.”

Following on from the that, he posted another very sweet message about how Maria is his soulmate and his joy with his new family: “To meet my soulmate & be lucky enough to start a family with her is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Nothing can compare. So happy.”

Earlier this month, Maria revealed that she had been diagnosed with SPD – Symphysis pubis dysfunction – that causes pelvic pain, which left her on crutches during her pregnancy. However, it isn’t harmful to the baby and is very common with pregnant women.

The couple announced that they were expecting their first baby back in March on Mother’s day. They have documented their parenting journey extensively on Instagram, with pictures of baby shoes and a newly purchased pram.

We are so glad that Maria is healthy and happy! Did we mention we love the name Evie? It is a Hebrew name meaning “life” – a perfectly lovely name for a baby girl!

Congrats to the happy couple!
