Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter Reveals Sex of Twins

Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter is 23 weeks pregnant but has only just now revealed that she is having twin girls!

Lucy and her fiancé, Rudi Coleano, discovered the gender of her twins after her five-month scan. “We found out at the five-month scan just before Christmas, and we’re just over the moon that they’re both healthy – it was the best Christmas present!” she told “OK! Magazine.”

The couple have been trying to conceive for months, and Lucy underwent a round of IVF treatments last year that failed. However, they didn’t give up and tried again and this time they are delighted that it was successful – and they got twins as well!

“The whole process is extremely hard. The not knowing, the wanting to get excited. For my age, the chance of it working was 20%, so we were pumping so much money into it and wanted it so badly, but it was completely out of our control. You can do everything right, but if those eggs don’t want to stick, they won’t,” Lucy candidly said.

Lucy says that despite her due date being in May, she will most likely have a C-section in mid-April as doctors don’t want women to carry twins beyond 37 weeks.

“We’ve talked about a C-section and a natural birth,” she explained. “With twins, you often have one naturally and one can end up being a C-section. ‘The recovery time with a C-section is difficult afterwards, but a natural birth can be horrendous, too, so I’ll see how it goes.”

This will be Lucy’s third child, as she is already mother to 11-year-old Lola .

Congratulations to the happy couple and we wish them a safe and healthy birth!
